babies as punishment ???

"When it comes specifically to HIV/AIDS, the most important prevention is education, which should include -- which should include abstinence education and teaching the children -- teaching children, you know, that sex is not something casual. But it should also include -- it should also include other, you know, information about contraception because, look, I've got two daughters. 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby. I don't want them punished with an STD at the age of 16. You know, so it doesn't make sense to not give them information."

who would express themselves so profoundly to label a choice, a "mistake" ???

but u know what? he has a point there..of course we should educate kids abt casual sex,n of course, till they're adults,we must guide them..after they become adults,it's they're choice n the family is there to back their choices in life,,but yes,if i don't know what's it like to jump down from the 20th floor,n i've heard all abt it,thru d media n press..then when i attempt to do it,there'll surely be ppl stopping me,to not let me die as a punishment..babies r definitely not a punishment, but if u look at it from my angle..what a punishment to the babies would such young, immature parents be?!?!

though i can bash this guy twenty four hours a day from now till the elections.. i will refrain from this, mainly to protect my peace of mind!! jaja but, in regards to this public statement concerning teenagers and sex.. i agree with everything he said but am apalled by that one statement i highlighted in red.. in fact, the abstinence, moral, and values, references are actually "conservative values" he has thrown out there to appeal to the typical Republican voter (cause he is trying to win their vote)! but!!!! but!!!! but!!! to say that having a baby can be a punishment and obviously comparing a baby to an STD, says so much about his position on life, as if it was some potentially defective product being produced in a Chinese assembly line.. disposable, replaceable, and insignificant.. and i do agree that immature and unprepared parents will cause greater harm to the baby than the baby to them... i defend my position 100%, for when I pick up my niece and nephew, baby Leah, or any other random baby in the street.. i see pure love, possibility, innocence, regardless of what damages our society may unfortunately cause the child.. i just hate what this world has turned to that abortion is considered as a form of birth control! I am not so much for legally opposing it, for ultimately, whether through legal or illegal means, people will attempt them, in order to liberate themselves from the responsibilty of caring for life ! in the end, it boils down to parent's communication with children, as well as appropriate modeling!
