Art-i-farts..:P

what's wrong with the arty-farty world??! no one knws what's art except a few chosen ppl (m not one of them)...who decide whether a spitting session can resemble art..or it becomes art AFTER UR DEAD...or exiled to a foreign country (where a simply "bindi" put on the forehead by every maharashtrian woman in the morning,a perfect circle applied on the forehead-of powdered sindhoor)becomes a work of art by a famous artist turned BINDU..-the endless .... n so on....and fetches millions of rupees..n so that what happens to all the circles,n squares n triangles..n doodles resembling those of little retarded children (sorry for my keen n mean observations..) n ppl willing to payyyyyy..rather than donate to farmers committing suicide..Tell me,dear folks, would ya'll seriously die an empty death..:P :P :P, if ya don't have a PAINTING RESEMBLING dog pee or a depressed pre-historic woman, on ur walls...
i actually read abt celebs calling in art curators/dealers to advise them where to buy, what to buy/invest..whereas..they don't really have these probs buying ice cream cones or property..!!soooo... WHERE'S UR PERSONAL TASTE,man? n never pray for artists' long life... n if ne one sings a song out of tune or makes burnt pancakes, they're not gonna get paid..but it works the other way 'round in art... the worse/more grotesque/distorted,the more ur paid for the damn things...m not being very stiff, but there's a limit to what u can stretch people's sensitivity to...n sensibility too...!!

jajaja !!! so appropriately named :) do the alien eyes protruding from my wall blink to life and secure my home while i sleep? sometimes i have a strange sensation that three eyes are watching me.. so regardless of their purpose on my living room wall, it so happens the alien's creator, published in books and recognized in artistic circles, can't seem to get off the bottle and faces extinction.. haven't bothered to check what each alien eye is worth but it does lead me to think if my brown eyes would auction for more?? i know if I had Mona's eyes, countless gangs of thieves would steal me and copy me and trade me in the underground art world.. so I could end up in some asshole's posh living room wall having to constantly smell lobster and caviar farts.. just to get sold or stolen again..

i do agree with you, most of the time.. jajaja but seriously, i'm with you on the f-art-ument that the intrinsic value of creativity and talent have become lost in the consumeristic world of greater demand.. it is a constantly shifting bell curve, that which society generally values today, may become wothless tomorrow, regardless of skill and effort (characteristics of love)... in the art world, talent and skill have always taken the back seat to "who you know".. it is more apparent today than before!! i mean who decides the popular success of an artist, but how much exposure that artist has been able to obtain, regardless of his or her talent.. even the great masters (though undisputably talented) were made famous, not by the stroke in their brush, nor the unique mixture of colors, but by WHO commisioned their works.. needless to say, now as it was then, countless talented artists remain silent and undiscovered, for they choose not to commercialize their talent or have not yet crossed paths with an appropriate marketer, selfishly positioned to launch them to fame.. which brings me to the philosophical question of what is art? who is an artist? aren't we all, as long as we create, either consciously or unconsciously always producing "art", in thought, word, action, or composition. or, is the word "art" reserved for someone that has "practiced" line drawing or color mixing repeatedly, before finalizing their output onto canvas.. or does the person become an "artist" from self-proclamation? or after completing formal training? or immediately upon a friend, stranger or family member's observation, "wow Pablo, you really are an artist!" as a result of the pretentiousness of the typical so called or self proclaimed "artist", as well as their "i wanna-be-seen and noticed followers", i put into question the randomness and genuineness of the artistic process, no longer seeming to live and breathe as creation does, but as vain and superficial as the dry and lifeless flesh of a rubber mask..

btw, did you ever hear of the controversial art exhibit featuring a crucifix submerged in urine? once again, the media turned someone's perversion into art.. i think this was sometime around the 80's in New York..
